Full Description

This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of geophysics including: important hydrogeologic properties/controls/processes; Borehole Geophysical Logging; Cross-Hole/Surface-to-Well Geophysics; vertical seismic profiling; and, seismic surveys. Reservoir Geomechanics are presented, including: Stress alteration in the reservoir, transferred to its surroundings; and, impact on seal integrity (cap-rock and faults). Modeling and simulation is presented including: 1D mechanical earth modeling along well trajectories; 3D mechanical earth modeling at the site scale; coupled stress-flow simulation; well completion stability; and, hydraulic fracturing.
