Full Description

To help formulate the blueprint of regional water source development and sustainability andreliable delivery, the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority (Authority), in collaboration with its members and customers, developed an Integrated Regional Water Supply Master Plan (IRWSMP). The IRWSMP addresses theimportance of diversity of regional water resources both geographically and by source type. TheIRWSMP takes advantage of Florida's seasonal abundance of surface water flows while restingand recovering the region's groundwater resources. One key component of the IRWSMP is aRegional System Reliability Model (RSRM). The RSRM is a working model used to evaluatethe effectiveness of modifying and/or adding new sources to increase the Authority's systemreliability. It is anticipated that the IRWSMP will be amended regularly, as needed, in responseto changing growth patterns, demand projections, or other developments. Includes figures.
