Full Description

This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of electrolysis and water treatment, Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) and disinfection, the effect ORP has on bacteria, changing ORP without addingoxidizing or reducing agents, and the MIOX Bench-TopElectrolysis Unit. Several experiments are presented, including: Experiment 1,MIOX Bench-TopElectrolysis Unit - 1; Experiment 2,Batch Electrolysis Unit; Experiment 3,Flow Through Electrolysis Unit; Experiment 3a and, Experiment 3c,HPC Growth vs. Dechlorinating Agent. Conclusions were that: it is possible to adjust the ORP of natural and syntheticwater by using Electrolysis;although some chemical changes result, by themselvesthey do not impact bacterial growth;there is a strong decrease in bacterial growth causedby changing the ORP of water; and,the different dechlorinating agents do not impactbacterial growth differently. Includes tables, figures.
