Adsorption media is presented, along with information on silica, SiOsub2/sub Interference Mechanism, silica scrubbing chemistry, bench scale testing, on site pilot testing, Susanville CDC pilot, and silica scrub results. Summary results of the Silica Scrub Technique include:economical process to extend adsorbent capacity;2 hr. in-situ treatment every 3-8 months;media remains in adsorbers;service provided by STS; and,treatment and fluoride waste disposal.
