This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Village of West Dundee Water Treatment, specifically the Angle Tarn Plant - an existing plant that usesion exchange, 1.67 MGD, softening and barium removal, and cationic, NaCl regeneration, and the Randall Oaks Plant - a new plant using thesame design/aquifer. Treatment issues included:Angle Tarn Plant - No Residuals Problem, regenerant waste discharged to brine pit and metered to sanitary sewer; Randall Oaks Plant - residuals problem,waste discharged to East Dundee WWTP. The pilot set-up is presented, includingequipment and layout, and results are given foroperating parameters;barium;effluent quality;sludge characterization; and,radium. Includes tables, figures.
