This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting the current practice of biodegradation and minimization of bromate formation, which not effective. Historical trends are presented for bromate formation, total organic carbon (TOC) removal, HAA5, and Total Trihalomethanes (TTHMs). Granular activated carbon (GAC) demonstration testing is presented, along withfinished water TOC goals, GAC replacement frequency, andcombined bromate mitigation andGAC replacement.
