Full Description

This slide presentation outlines a study on the fouling of low-pressure membranes byorganic matter with the objective ofidentifying the principal organic foulants. Effluent Organic Matter (EfOM) is defined along with fouling substances in a membrane biological reactor (MBR). EfOM measurements are listed, and two MBR studies are presented, one on the evaluation of operating MBRs and the other on the evaluation of pilot MBRs. Stirred cell tests in relation to membrane filtration of secondary effluents is outlined. Includes tables, figures.
