The project goals for this slide presentation included: characterize disinfection byproduct (DBP) and DBP precursor occurrence (post-Stage1 D/DBP Rule) in consecutive systems. (A consecutivesystem is defined as a utility that purchases water from awholesaler and distributes it to retail customers);understand changes in DBP levels in consecutive systems asa function ofdisinfection practices at the wholesaler and consecutivesystem and overall water age; and,evaluate and recommend DBP control strategies andtreatment technologies for consecutive systems, taking intoaccount their limitations.
