This slide presentation outlines urban water conservation along the Rio Grande in Texas. Rio Grande Urban WaterConservation Study Goals included:Phase I, identify urban waterconservation practices currently used; and,inventory practices in cities. Study Goal II included: Phase II, determine acceptability ofwater conservation practices; and,measure preference, feasibility and barriers. Study Goal III included:Phase III, identify urban waterconservation drought plans, triggers, drought stages, andwater conservation strategies. Study methods used in Phase II included:use of prior inventory data and currentliterature to identifywater conservation strategies,barriers to water conservation,develop survey using likert-type scale andidentify decision makers. Survey methods and questions are outlined along with barriers to conservation, preference and feasibility, P-F analysis process, selected conservation options, P-F analysis grid, Phase III drought plans, drought triggers, stages and strategies, fugitive water, restrictions, financial strategies, noteworthy cities in Texas and New Mexico, and drought plan summary.
