This slide presentation outlines information on an approach for assessingthe toxicological relevance ofendocrine disruptors andpharmaceuticals in drinking water. Project objectives included:published literature reviews of data relevant to endocrine disruptors(EDCs) and pharmaceuticals in drinking water;risk assessments for selected compounds;analyses of waters and foods/beverages;and, public relations and communication tools. Topics covered include: criteria for selection ofcontaminants of potential concern(COCP) for risk assessment; health risk potential; draft final candidate list; and, list of selected phytoestrogens.
