Full Description

In this study, a variety of sample matrices were used to evaluate a prestained matrix spike material from BTF Pty Ltd, Australia (ColorSeed) for possible inclusion in the laboratory's standard operatingprocedure. The intent was to determine what improvements could be made to the information onmatrix recoveries. Laboratory analysis using US Environmental Protection Agency Method 1623: Cryptosporidium and Giardia inWater by Filtration/IMS/FA demonstrated separate quality control situations that were investigatedusing the ColorSeed control organism.
