Full Description

This paper reports key findings of a research study entitled "Rejection ofWastewater-Derived Micropollutants in High-Pressure Membrane Applicationsleading to Indirect Potable Reuse" funded by WateReuse Foundation and the WestBasin Municipal Water District, California. The objectives of this study wereto determine physico-chemical properties which are suitable to describemembrane-solute interactions and rejection behavior as well as to explore therelationships among physico-chemical properties of trace organics and rejectionmechanisms. The study was conducted using bench- and laboratory-scalefacilities. Findings were verified at water reuse field sites in California andArizona that use full-scale membrane facilities. Includes table.
