This slide presentation outlines information on the detection, removal and control of biofilm in the distribution system. The presentation suggests three elements to approaching a biofilm problem: preliminary site assessment; flushing, either unidirectional flushing or COsub2/sub enchanced flushing; and, ongoing biofilm control. Field results and information on several areas of the U.S. are given.
