Full Description

In this study, organic nanocolloids, which are believed to foul ultrafiltration (UF) membranes, were isolated from a drinkingwater source by a dialysis membrane with MWCO of 2000Da and then used for UF membranefiltration. Organic nanocolloids had a relatively higher molecular weight compared to natural organic matter (NOM) andsmall diffusion coefficient of 2.51 x 10sup-7/supcmsup2/sup/s and are proven to foul in cellulose membranerather than PES membrane. Organic nanocolloids affected the transport parameters ofmembranes, differently from our expectation. Includes 4 references, tables, figures.
