This slide presentation gives examples of water treatment plant (WTP) optimization evaluations, using the Rolling River Water Treatment Plant as a case study, and discusses management of non-optimized WTP performance. Comparisons are made between raw and finished water turbidity and filter turbidity, and suggestions are made for recognizing possible causes for turbidity spikes prior to actual non-optimum filter performance. The presentation suggests using Partnership for Safe Water for assistance in assessing optimization and in forming action plans.
