This paper presents the drought mitigation measures contained in the SouthernNevada Water Authority's Drought Plan. The paper includes a review of the conditionsthat have lead to drought in the Colorado Basin, as well as some important issues relatedto SNWA's water resources picture. The author presents the reasoning behind thedrought level triggers and how supply status is tied to these. Finally, demand reductionmeasures are detailed as they appear in the plan with comment on each section provided. Includes 5 references, tables.
