This slide presentation discusses how dinking water supplies are under increasing pressure from regulations (Safe Drinking Water Act, total maximum daily loads), and the need for additional data for watershed management in real-time. Information is given on a fully functional state-of-the-art research center, along with sensor technology evaluation for source water protection and biological and chemical contaminants. Also, an early warning system (EWS) testing and evaluation laboratory is discussed.
