Remote Field Technology (also known as Remote Field Eddy Current Method) is an accurate method for assessing the condition of cast iron, ductile iron and steel waterlines. This paper discusses how the results of Remote Field Technology (RFT) waterline inspection can be used in conjunction with other relevant data to model probability of failure and develop cost- effective, proactive waterline asset management programs.
