Establishing an index for each geospacial entity, or utility component in hydraulic modeling, will provide a benchmark for monitoring the individual and overall integrity of the data. It then becomes easier to focus on enhancing the quality of the weakest components (elements with the lower index) to improve the overall data quality. This paper introduces the Data Confidence Index (DCI) and recommends establishing and using it to enhance the quality and integrity of the geospacial data. Includes 4 references, tables, figures.
