This standard covers 1/2 in. (13-mm) through 16-in. (400-mm) air release, air/vacuum, and combination air valves having gray cast iron or ductile iron bodies and covers with threaded or flanged connections for use in systems with water at temperatures of 125F degrees (52C) or less and maximum working pressures of 300 psig (2070 kPa gauge).
