The University Area Joint Authority (UAJA) serves the Borough of State College,Penn State University, and the surrounding townships of College, Ferguson,Harris, and Patton by providing high quality treatment of wastewater to theCentre Region of Centre County, Pennsylvania. Wastewater flow at the UAJA SpringCreek Pollution Control Facility is currently at 5.0 million gallons per day(MGD). Based upon the amount of vacant land available for commercial andresidential development within the current UAJA sewer service area, flows couldreach as high as 9.0 MGD within twenty years.
