In 1997, Denver Water implemented a 2.5 million, five-year Large Meter ReplacementProgram (LMRP) designed to replace approximately 2,100 conventional (gear-driven) water meters. This paper outlines the program and contrasts meter efficiency, cost and revenue projections from the initial analysis with actual results available from the first year of the LMRP. Includes tables.
