This paper presents options for meeting water quality goals that are available to utilities that rely on multiple source waters with two secondary disinfection strategies (free chlorine and chloramine). The considerations that must be given to determine the most appropriate option to cost effectively and reliably achieve water quality goals will be reviewed together with a case study to demonstrate the evaluation of these options.
