Full Description

As part of a project investigating methods to improve the hydromechanics of disinfection contactors, pilot-scale studies were performed to develop generalized design guidelines, which correlate the physical characteristics of contactors with T10/T ratios. Tracer testing of nearly 100 pilot-scale contactor configurations was performed as part of this study. Pilot configurations utilizing several inlet/outlet configurations alone or in combination with various plain and perforated baffles were also investigated.
