The Denver Water Department (DWD) believes a strong aggressive and institutional conservation program is essential to the future well-being of the Denver metro area. This paper provides an overview of the DWD's Leak Detection survey efforts from January 1980 through December 1989. The leak team averaged one leak for every 13.1 mile of pipe surveyed.
